I love yoga because it makes me feel better. I move more easily, feel less stressed and know I have some tools to help when things get tough either physically or mentally. We all need a helping hand on our journey through life from time to time.  I love teaching yoga because so many of my students tell me how yoga has helped them, too.

Yoga gives you the techniques you need to unwind, become calmer, more physically fit and feel happier. My classes are aimed at improving your ease of movement in everyday life, whatever age you are now.

Are your classes right for me? Not if you’re expecting an exercise class. Yoga as exercise is an accepted form and widely available everywhere. But I’ve chosen not to emphasise this aspect, although you will improve your strength and flexibility because there’s lots of postures in every class that will do this. What’s lacking in an exercise class is a focus on mental and emotional health. In yoga we use the postures not only for their physical benefits, but as a form of concentration. You will be encouraged to move your awareness inwards, not to perfect how your body looks. Every class includes breath work and a meditation/relaxation session that should leave you feeling refreshed and calm.
